Mechanical design and manufacturing is the exemplary of the national equipment manufacturing class, the main construction specialty of Beijing city and also is the key construction specialty in the 13th Five-Year plan.

Training target

The training target is to serve Beijing high-end manufacturing and product design industry, based on the practical engineering case as teaching carrier, cultivate students to have sustainable development and innovation ability, grasp the advanced manufacturing, 3D printing, reverse scanning and product development, CAD/CAM/CAE core technology and so on, and engage in the digital product design and 3D printing, high-end equipment manufacturing and other work, and enable students to become international competitive "sophisticated" practical technical personnel.

Faculty

Excellent teaching teams have the national famous troops as the leader, two professors, five associate professors and two lecturers. There are four industrial training bases, such as reverse design, 3D printing, multi axis machining, a technical service center and a College Students' innovation and entrepreneurship studio.

Awards

Personnel training program won the first prize of teaching achievements of mechanical steering committee, and "three dimensional digital design and 3D printing" professional standard is designated to take the lead formulation ;

There are one national excellent curriculum, an international sharing resource curriculum and two excellent curriculums of Beijing.

Won two first-prizes, one second- prize, two third-prizes in National Skills Competition of "three-dimensional digital design and manufacturing" and "product design and rapid prototyping" from 2014 to 2016, and won the proxime accessit in the world "DELCAM Cup" contest in 2015.
