About the School of Humanities, Law and Management

The School of Humanities, Law and Management offers professional education through a variety of programs in Safety Technology and Management; Accountancy; Business and Enterprises Management; Marketing; E-commerce; Legal Affairs; Legal Secretary; Tourism Management; Air Attending Services. The School comprises a team of 71 faculty members and over 1,200 students.

 

The School provides students with 41 on-campus training rooms and 58 off-campus training bases, in which they could have abundant opportunities for practicing and developing basic skills and core competencies, which are necessary for success in their future career. In recent years, we have launched “order training” programs in collaboration with large corporations such as CP Group, Jetsen, and FESCO. We have maintained high graduate employment rates (over 98%).

 

We have established a national key major and a major constructed with the financial support of the Central Government and offered 4 top quality courses and 4 top quality open-resources courses on the national level, as well as 2 Beijing top quality courses. The School comprises a faculty of excellence: there is a Beijing Outstanding Teaching Group, a Beijing Professional Innovation Group, 2 winners of Beijing Famous Teachers Award, 8 Beijing Distinguished Youth and Middle-Aged Teachers, and 4 members of the National Vocational Education and Teaching Committee. Our faculty members have won 3 second prizes in Beijing Education and Teaching Achievement Competition, a prize for Education and Teaching Achievement awarded by the Ministry of Justice, as well as 6 first prizes, a second prize, and a third prize in National Vocational College Informatization Teaching Contest. Our students have stood out in national vocational students’ competitions: they have been awarded 4 first prizes, 4 second prizes, and 3 third prizes in National Vocational Students Skills Competition. In 2011, a student representative from the School participated on behalf of China in the 48th Intersteno Congress Stenography Competition held in Paris and stood out for her outstanding performance.
