BPC and BLCU successfully hosted the signing ceremony for the "Chinese+TVET" project during a special event on the internationalization of vocational education at the 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services. The two universities have partnered to innovate the talent cultivation model, collaboratively cultivating "Chinese+TVET" talent and offering a variety of "Chinese+TVET" training programs. BPC and the College of Applied Chinese Studies of BLCU have collaboratively designed and developed a series of courses on "Chinese+TVET". The experience courses introduced this time included two vocational Chinese courses and one hands-on practice course. The language course was taught by Sun Xiaojing, who is responsible for developing "Chinese+TVET" practical course textbooks of BLCU. Meanwhile, the hands-on practice course was led by Liu Yanjun from the School of Architecture and Surveying Engineering and Huang Huan from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of BPC. These courses effectively combine language learning with vocational skills learning, fully reflecting the teaching characteristics of "Chinese+TVET".

The visiting teachers and students first went to the UAV Training Room located in the basement of Jiangxin Building. Led by Liu Yanjun, a faculty member from the School of Architecture and Surveying Engineering, they learned about the definition, types, and operation methods of UAVs. Liu Yanjun also organized a classroom activity for the international students, where they were tasked with matching the names of various UAVs to their corresponding types from a selection of UAVs displayed in the room. The activity also included a simulated flight training session, guided by Liu and outstanding BPC students.

In Classroom 110 of Shanji Building, Huang Huan, a teacher from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, conducted a course on intelligent robotics for the international students. He introduced various types of intelligent robots commonly found in everyday life, such as humanoid robots, robotic dogs, and robotic vacuum cleaners. His lecture covered robots' sensory technologies and autonomous decision-making capabilities. With the help of teaching assistants, he also demonstrated the actual operation of different kinds of intelligent robots to the students. The students actively engaged in the learning, practice, and interaction links of the course. They operated a robotic dog to complete a "backflip", chat with a humanoid robot, and dance with a robot to the song "You Raise Me Up". The classroom atmosphere was very lively.

In addition, the visiting teachers and students toured the Sino-French Application-Oriented Talent Training and Research Center for Energy Efficiency Management, Automobile Training Base, 3D Printing Training Center, and other facilities. The theory-practice integration training base was both appreciated and well-received by the guests. The participation of the international students in the vocational skills experience activity has strengthened the collaboration between BPC and BLCU in the "Chinese+TVET" project. This initiative has also advanced the joint cultivation model for international students in China between the two institutions. It holds significant importance for integrating vocational education with general education and fostering the combined development of international Chinese education and vocational education. The 13 international students come from countries including Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Japan.
