Introduction of International Exchanges and Cooperation Office

Beijing Polytechnic College has a long tradition of actively developing strategic partnerships and collaborations with prestigious universities, international organizations and enterprises throughout the world, and the international education school cooperates with universities and enterprises all over the world. The school sponsors high-level academic exchanges, joint programs, international conferences and other international activities. It can also offer teachers further education abroad. Student exchanges are encouraged to provide talented students with global vision. With the continuous development of higher education, the quantity and quality of globalized student education programs has become one of the most important features of globalized universities around the world.

To implement the university’s strategy of globalized student education, up to now, the school has signed an Inter-school Cooperation Agreement with more than 23 colleges or universities abroad, establishing a steady friendly relationship. More than 30 experts or professors have been invited to BPC to give lectures, a total of 160 key teachers and more than 200 students have been sent abroad to study, and over 30 education delegations from 11 countries or areas have been to BPC to visit. Based on the needs of international cooperation of the college, the school accepts foreign students to study in BPC. These international exchange programs have received favorable comments from faculty and students and obtained strong support of the university’s offices and schools and departments, which laid a good foundation for further extension and expansion of globalized education programs.

In 2016, BPC was designated as one of the first batch pilot colleges to expanding Vocational Education overseas together with CNMC by Ministry of Education. According to the requirements of 2016 vocational education going-out pilot project, BPC provides job skills training and vocational education for the staff of CNMC overseas companies, and jointly explores the collaborative “going-out” model of Chinese vocational education and enterprises.Eight teachers go to Zambia to carry out the project from 2017 to 2018. One works as a school building assistant for the establishment of a branch of the China-Zambia Vocational College - Faculty of Automation and Information.

In 2017, BPC was chosen as the Talent Cultivation Base for Belt and Road Initiative Countries. As of May 2018, BPC has trained 41 foreign engineering and technical staff from the Belt and Road countries. Up to 150 CNMC overseas engineering technical and management personnel will be trained until 2019.



In order to promote both the Belt and Road Initiatives as well as international cooperation in production capacity, BPC has actively explored new ways to cooperate with megaenterprises with global business ties, jointly establishing personnel training locations abroad. Thus, BPC is able to provide technological training courses and vocational education to local employees of enterprises seeking to going global.
