The Education Officer of the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy was invited to conduct an online sharing session for students and teachers of our school
On themorning ofAugust2, Mr. Wu Xinping, the education officer of the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy, andMr. Pan Li, the deputy general manager ofBritishFirst Landing Education(FLE), were invited by our school to participate in our school’s15-level through training program. Students went to the UK Online sharing session before studying abroad.The pre-departure sharing meeting was presided over by Meng Qing, deputy director of the International Department of our school. Students and their parents, leaders of secondary colleges and class teachers, etc. participated in the sharing meeting.
In 2020, a total of132outstanding students from our school have applied for further study in our foreign partner universities, and continue their two-year undergraduate study.Among them, a total of102students chose to study in the UK.In order to ensure that students can study in the UK safely and smoothly, the school’s international office andFLEjointly organized this pre-departure sharing meeting.

With the theme of “Study in the UK in Special Times”, Mr. Wu Xinping from the British Embassy explained the current situation of security in the UK from a macro policy level with detailed data and vivid cases. The policy and form of study after the epidemic, as well asthe favorable policies forPSWvisas, etc.Teacher Pan Li fromFLEexplained to everyone the knowledge and skill reserves that everyone needs during their studies in the UK, and how to protect themselves.
Finally, Deputy Director Meng Qing put forward specific requirements and ardent hopes on behalf of the school for students studying in the UK. The sharing session was fully affirmed by parents and students and was a complete success.
This pre-departure sharing meeting is one of a series of online explanatory meetings for students from the Tongtong Training Program to study abroad.Previously, the International Office of the school and FLE had organized the study abroad seminar at Coventry University in the UK and the Heriot-Watt University study abroad seminar in the UK. The effect was good, and it was warmly welcomed by the students and their parents, and answered questions for the students of the15-level program. At the same time, it alsolaid a good foundationfor the16thgrade students to go abroad for further study.
